Reintrodotto con successo in tempi recenti dopo essere stato sterminato a inizio secolo in quanto ritenuto erroneamente predatore di greggi. Si nutre solo di ossa; se troppo grandi, le porta in volo e le fa cadere sulle rocce per romperle.
